Join us in the GROUP UNWINDING WORKSHOP
Unwinding is the natural movement that spontaneously occurs when the body feels safe and ready to let go of old held tension and movements. The unwinding process allows for the body to release and change bracing patterns that lead to pain, muscular contractions, spasms and tension throughout the body.
In this class, you will learn:
- How to use self-unwinding as a tool at home
- How unwinding can help you further release tension and tightness in your body
- Experience being supported by and supporting others in the group unwinding journey
- Enhance your treatment and deepen your progress of healing
- The connections between emotions and Mental beliefs on slowing down your healing process

Space is limited to 6. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle to class. Please note that this class is only for those who have received 1 or more Myofascial Release Sessions by a John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Therapist.

"Initially, I came to the group because I wanted more information about Unwinding and to hear from others about their experience with MFR. Over 20 years, I have sought out a variety of therapists to heal trauma. All of which have been extremely helpful, however did not touch the Freeze Response left in my body. The group gave me tools to use on my own for releasing tension and bodily stress held from long ago fears that are no longer relevant.
The class offered a few individual exercises, all accompanied with rhythmic music to aid in the release. I was so surprised at how fun and easy they were to do, as well as remember. I left with more of an understanding of what was happening in my body and ways to help myself. Priceless!
The group Unwinding experience was the most significant part of the class. Immediately, I had a feeling of safety and encouragement, which was surprising seeing I did not know the other participants. I left with an embodied feeling of connection and sense of calm. Jessica's presence was warm and authentic. This is a practice that I'll continue to do, and I'm looking forward to the next Unwinding group."
